1. The best maintenance is to open and close the curtain

Some people vacuum the curtain to remove dust, but that’s not good for the curtain. Unlike carpets, curtains are thin and can be sucked into a vacuum cleaner, damaging the fabric. The first maintenance for the curtain is to open and close it.

By doing so, it will naturally be dust-free. By opening and closing the curtain, the fibres move, so the fibres do not harden and the deterioration of the fibres is delayed accordingly.

And, as a result, it leads to the longevity of the curtain.

Some people often hit with dusters, but if you hit with dusters too hard, the fabric will be damaged, so it can be said that it is not very good for curtains. Dust can be removed by simply opening and closing the curtain twice in the morning and evening.

Don’t you think there is no such easy care?

The race doesn’t open and close even in the daytime, so it sucks in dust from the outside air.

Also, the lace is more exposed to ultraviolet rays than the drape (thick material), so I would like you to consciously open and close it.

In particular, lace fabrics are prone to static electricity and stains.

If the dirt gets damp, mould will form. If it still gets dirty, it’s best to wash it. Most modern curtains are made of polyester, so if you use polyester, you can wash them at home.

The curtain has a washing sign, so let’s take a look first. In addition to polyester, curtains include cotton, linen, rayon, and acrylic. Curtains made of these materials may shrink or change their texture when washed at home, so ask a store specializing in curtain cleaning. Also, if you look at the laundry pictogram and it is not possible to wash it with water ask a professional cleaning shop.

2.How to wash the curtain

Remove the hook on the top of the Curtain

In addition to polyester, curtains include cotton, linen, rayon, acrylic, etc., but these items may shrink or change in texture when washed at home, so ask a curtain cleaning shop. If you see the washing picture display and it is not possible to wash it with water please send it to a specialized cleaning shop.

Put in the washing machine

Put detergent in the washing machine and wash at a temperature of 30 degrees or less. You can wash it with the remaining water in the bath. The washable notation means that it can be washed with water. Add detergent. If possible, use a neutral detergent such as fashionable clothes. It doesn’t matter if the washing machine is a drum-type or a water flow type. Dehydration takes about 1 minute.

Set the lace in a short time of about 30 seconds so that the fabric will not be damaged or shrunk.

After washing, take it out and dry it. Please do not dry it in the dryer. Above all, curtains are sensitive to heat. After dehydration, reattach the adjuster and hang it on the curtain rail to dry. This is the best way. It does not shrink and wrinkles grow due to the weight of the curtain. In principle, drying is natural. Do not put it in the tumble dryer.

In the case of a fully automatic washing machine that can do one washing until it dries, please set it to cut the drying.

This method is very good for people who have a cold or have a weak throat, as the dry room in winter will be humidified if the curtains are dried.

3.If mould grows, there is nothing you can do at home

Since the technique of removing mould is difficult, there are very few places that can be done at ordinary dry cleaners.

Cleaning Dare uses a special technique to remove difficult mould.
